  • Lopesan opens Spain’s first Himalaya salt grotto
13.10.2008 ● This grotto is Lopesan’s new wellness proposal and enriches the health and beauty offer of the Corallium Costa Meloneras Spa

Lopesan has just inaugurated Spain’s first Himalaya salt grotto located in the Corallium Costa Meloneras Spa; this new wellness proposal has been integrated in the thematic circuit around the world offered in this health and beauty centre situated at the Lopesan Costa Meloneras hotel.

The grotto has been designed in a room of approximately 60 square metres with walls covered by around 3.200 small structures of natural crystallized salt proceeding from Nepal, the planet’s major and highest mountain range. Situated in the room’s centre there is a big, 75 cm high rock of this “pink gold”, weighting 250 kg; the floor is covered by a soft carpet of Himalaya salt.

These pioneer facilities in Spain represent Lopesan’s new commitment for offering the most innovative wellness services to hotel guests and external customers who wish to enjoy the offer of this wellness centre considered by experts as one of the best and most complete centres in Spain due to its spectacular facilities.

    SALT OF LIFE
The Himalaya salt grotto is a place recommendable for everybody’s health and wellbeing. It is appropriate for complementary treatments of allergic respiratory system diseases and it is also indicated for persons suffering from migraines and those working in surroundings contaminated by dust, toxins and an excessive concentration of microbes. The purifying and distilling effect on lungs is one of the main qualities this wellness facility offers.

Due to the height of the deposits and the pureness of its contents this salt is being considered as one of the most complete minerals known. It has conserved its original structure in the natural deposits of this mountain range since 250 million years when this part of the planet was covered by an ocean.

Himalaya salt contains almost all trace elements the organism needs for a good functioning; particularly standing out its high contents of iodine enriching the ambience with negative ions and compensating that way the excess of positive ions harmful for our health. The salt grotto is therefore a naturally ionized space absorbing the excess of electromagnetic waves and giving off beneficial negative ions necessary to reach a state of balance and wellbeing.

The grotto has been included in the centre’s Spa Experience, a thematic circuit around different countries of the world; it owns all the attributes of design, modernity and innovation which characterize the hotel products of Lopesan Hotel Group.
