Lopesan is harvesting the fruits of its commitment for tourist excellence as Europe’s two most important tour operators – TUI and Thomas Cook – have recently given to Lopesan Hotel Group their most precious awards on the British and German market as a sign of appreciation for the Lopesan hotels’ high quality.

The major part of the tourists in Spain come from the U.K. and in Britain’s capital on November 11th, Lopesan has received two Gold Medal Awards for the company’s emblematic resorts in Gran Canaria, the four stars superior Lopesan Costa Meloneras and the five stars Lopesan Villa del Conde; the awards have been granted on the occasion of the World Travel Market in London by Thomson, TUI UK’s most important tour operator on the British market.

On the other hand on November 8th in Frankfurt, Thomas Cook AG has given to Lopesan the prestigious Neckermann Primo Award granted by the Neckermann brand according to evaluations of the German market customers. In this case the hotels Lopesan Costa Meloneras and IFA Rügen in Germany have received the mentioned awards.

UNANIMOUS APPRECIATION
According to Sergio Arencibia Febles, Commercial Director of Lopesan Hotel Group, the unanimous appreciation received by Lopesan this year from the tourist sector means for the most important Canarian tourist company “an event that makes us proud and stimulates us to go on working with our spirit to always improve by applying premises of innovation, sustainability and modernity which distinguish our tourist products on the resort hotel, wellness, golf and congress segments”.

These two awards are the most important ones received in the last months by the hotel group presided by the Gran Canarian businessman Eustasio López González who has been distinguished with other prestigious international awards like the World Travel Award received by the Lopesan Villa del Conde hotel as Spain’s Best Golf Resort or the ABTA Award and others.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Additionally, national and international, as well as public and private institutions have also appreciated the excellent system of environmental management introduced by Lopesan in its two hotel chains (Lopesan Hotels & Resorts and IFA Hotels & Resorts) situating this Canarian company at the European avant-garde in fulfilling the European Community’s sustainability standards. It is also worth to be mentioned that the tourist companies of the group are operating with certifications for environmental management and that they are using solar, thermal and photovoltaic energy to attend the energetic demands of the group’s hotels.
